Military base Janitor by day, by night known as Reux.I am a photographer of a different color. That color being primarily black!I work full time out side the home and as a very busy mommy of two beautiful baby girls, 15 months apart. I help my husband run many events out of his mobile DJ company, MadHatter Mobile Entertainment, including our extremely successful all ages family game and dance night, Night of the Baby Bat.My objective in the very beginning was to replace painting and drawing ( a very costly hobby) with something I could afford. Photography was the answer! I began with a 35mm Cannon Rebel. In 2008 I got my first digital camera, but it was a terrible shame, it turned out to be a ruthless battery eater. Then, in 2009 I got my Nikon D60 SLR.Since 2007, when I officially began ToXic9 Studios, I have shot with 53 wonderful individuals, some who have even came back to me for more!I love networking with other photographers as well, it is always more fun when someone with a different point of view can contribute, or point me in the right direction.Most of my work I do for trade, because I am an artist. Most of these projects are original and a lot of fun. I prefer amateur models because I love giving them that boost of confidence when they see their new set for the first time. Also, because I like unorthodox, unusual poses and expression, there is nothing better than someone who is not used to the camera!I do work with younger models, provided they bring their parents along with a permission slip and a photo ID.Every model I work with must provide identification, D.O.B and sign the model release.I don't mind escorts, as long as they behave themselves.I do have a studio available, but I love working in the outdoors. There is no comparison to natural lighting!Sometimes it takes a while to get done with the set, but as long as you can be polite, I encourage you to email me and ask me what my progress is. Art is sometimes a process, and with me, you aren't getting just your typical photos. As long as that is appreciated, I think you'll be happy with your product and you won't mind the wait.
