I believe there is a difference between a Makeup Artist and someone who knows how to apply makeup. Anyone can just throw on some makeup, but an artists takes every single aspect of a project into consideration while working. An artist isn't afraid to push the boundaries. An artist knows how to work a soft & subtle look as well as something hard or colorful. A Makeup Artist will meet their client's needs while infusing their own style and artistry in the mix.
Hi! My name is Natosha. I started Aphrodite Affairs two years ago in order to have something "official" on a business card while having fun at different jobs (mainly weddings in the past). I've learned, though, that this industry is where I'm meant to be. My heart races at the thought of a new project, a new look, and a new opportunity. When I get into "creative mode", I am unstoppable!
I've been in the makeup biz for about five years now. I am trained in all genres of makeup including bridal, high fashion, classic/beauty/time-period, avant garde, and other forms of makeup. Bridal makeup is my passion, though I'm really looking to get into something more creative. I work with some of the leading artists in our state, at one of the most respected and diverse makeup lines in the world. Makeup is my passion, it's my life... and it has the ability to change one's soul.
Currently, I am accepting TF* work... because I would like to beef up my portfolio. This is on case by case basis, however, as it must also benefit me! If I contact you saying "I'd LOVE to work with you!" this means I'm willing to trade my services! My kit fee is low, typically between $10-15 to cover replenishment expenses.
For paying clients - reoccurring jobs = bigger discounts! I'm a firm believer in loyalty and am willing to set up a special cost for multiple projects. Otherwise you can see my rates (which are flexible!) on my website @ Aphrodite Affairs
A little something about my work ethic... I believe being on time to a project is late, typically I'll arrive 15-30 minutes before scheduled so that I have time to set up, learn about any creative direction, and to get a little info on the model. I consider myself (and have been complimented on) professional, easy-going, creative, directional (if needed!), and dynamic.
Scheduling:
I do work full time as a Makeup Artist for a very well respected line... which means my scheduling is never consistent and I rarely have Saturdays off. Luckily my scheduling is pretty flexible if I'm given enough notice. If you have a special project in mind, I can make arrangements if it's planned far enough in advance (like a month or so).
Nudity, implied, lingerie - if you're paying me I'll typically work under most circumstances. Though I typically won't do TF* work for these types of shoots unless they're highly tasteful.
